MESSAGE OF HOPE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Every day we minister through various children- and youth programs to disadvantaged youngsters in different areas of the local informal settlements and townships. We reach out to children and youth with ministries and programs related to their target group. Our vision is to teach and to disciple the youth and to empower them to become men and women of God and future leaders of their communities.
Our daily ministries includes fun-filled Kids Clubs, encouraging Teenager Bible Study groups and our Melusi United soccer teams. Regularly, weekend camps or special days are organized for our children and teenagers. On Sundays, we support several Kids Churches at different areas run by Melusi Fellowship members.
WINNING SOULS IN OUR SOCCER TEAMS
In 2013, Melusi started our soccer ministry under the name Melusi United. In a short time, this ministry grew to become one of our core activities in children- and youth ministries. The soccer teams are all playing their leagues, under coaching guidance by our volunteers who teach them technical - and tactical soccer skills. Every Saturday each team of Melusi United is going for the win. This in itself is not the only important win, the most important part of this ministry is to win their souls for God’s Kingdom. Many of our players have accepted Jesus and some of them became leaders within their communities and their teams. All in all, our Melusi United teams are winners. If it is not on the field, then it is because God won their hearts.
LIFE-CHANGING EVENTS FULL OF JOYFUL PRAISE
Melusi hosts an annual three-days youth conference [named MYC] which is definitely the highlight of our Children and Youth ministry. All activities are based on the Melusi property. MYC is an excellent opportunity to feed the spiritual needs of the youngsters through Bible teachings, joyful praise and worship, exciting games and great times of fellowship.
MYC is a life-changing event, not only for the people who attended, but also for those who volunteer. We believe that if God can change a heart, this will change a life and by that you will change a community. And indeed, during MYC, God does change many hearts with a tremendous impact on the communities we serve.
